The President Obama! WOW it sure feels good to say that!
Congratulations America! You renewed my faith in The United
States! It was with PRIDE I watched
the inauguration on my computer. America is
now entering an exciting journey. The history of the country has been built on oppression
and the metaphor of the election is that yes “WECAN” elect someone outside of
the ”norm”!
The American are still enjoying the feeling of turning the page on the Bush years. The healing has begun and it will take some time to get through the dark mess that the 8 years of Bush put the country through.
The rebirth is underway though! Make no mistake… America got it’s “groove” back with the election of Obama to run the country. It will be an excellent time to make music and art! New directions are called for. The shallowness in recent art and music will be seen as “candy” and this will be a time for music and words with “meaning” or positive “message”
I recall growing up in the 70’s in the turbulent city of New York. I remember hearing a lot of Marvin Gaye’s album “What’s Going On?” It was a time of all manners of stress and America was going through growing pains. The music that came out during that time was exciting and sometimes tragic. There was uplifting music and great lovemaking and dancing music.
The time was of Nixon and Ford. These were “dark days” in
The USA, and there was a feeling of madness just around the corner… reminds me
of the time we are living in right now! Get with it America! Lets rebuild our
ethics, lets get the music and art on
the upswing,
lets take President Obama’s message and rebuild outside and within. It’s a wonderful time to be alive…Lets get that feeling of JAZZ in our life again!
